The Maya Wrap Sling is made of beautiful Guatemalan fabrics. The Maya Wrap Sling is very adjustable, allowing a perfect, custom fit. Compared with our other slings it is less broad on the shoulder. Our baby slings without padding have no padded shoulder piece nor padded rails. This makes these slings smaller, easier to fit in a bag when not in use. One might expect these to be less supportive but actually they are just as supportive because your baby is carried closer to you.
Versatile It is usable in front, hip, back, reclining, nursing, and kangaroo carry positions. Additionally, it can be used as a harness, shopping cart strap, lightweight blanket and more. Each edge of the baby sling can be adjusted independently, allowing a perfectly customized fit. The Sling has been tested and can withstand in excess of 100 lbs (35 lbs is recommended carrying weight limit). The Maya Wrap Sling can be used while you child grows from infant to toddler (35 lbs).
Moms and dads The long tail of our baby sling will allow large people to wear it. The lack of padding allows it to be tightened enough to fit small people. The Maya Wrap Sling is available in three lengths. It is also perfect for nursing. Choose a size which will allow Mom to cover herself when nursing. Mom can drape the tail of the Maya Wrap Sling over her shoulder for complete coverage.
Sizes The only difference between sling sizes is the length. Each size is 6" longer than the previous size. A medium Sling will fit most people, both moms and dads. Even if dad is larger, he won't need the longer tail for breast feeding coverage. Small - Below 5'2" (158cm) and slender Medium - 5'2" (158cm) - 5'9" (176cm) Large - Above 5'9" (176 cm)
General information Baby Slings Baby Slings are very easy to use and are on or off in a few seconds. You can carry your baby with your hands free, ideal for shopping and travelling. The weight of your baby is equally divided between shoulder and hip.
Baby Slings are easy to use with a new-born and are equally capable of carrying a child up to at least 16 kg/35 lbs. During the first months your baby cradles in front of your chest or sits up in a supported upright position, where he or she can hear your heartbeat and can live with you in your rhythm.
Later your baby can also sit up in front of you, looking outwards. After 4 to 6 months your baby moves onto your hip and shares the world with you from this protected position. Lying down in the sling is still possible all through the first few years. With your baby in the baby sling you can feed him or her at any time wherever you are. All slings are made of 100% good quality cotton and are easily washable. |
